Maritime & Nautical showroom reveal from Wick Antiques – Lymington

24th March 2021

Originally this space at Wick Antiques was used as a store, during Lockdown it has seen a transformation. Having time to re-purpose this space, Charlie and the team have created a Nautical and Maritime themed area to showcase some of Wick Antiques rarest pieces.

Charlie describes this space as a ‘folly’ a simplistic uncluttered space which is well laid out with a wood finish which enhances the beauty of the pieces on display.  It took 3 weeks to complete the transformation, the walls have been covered with wet wood which has been screwed directly into the breeze block walls creating an incredible oceanic feel.

The showroom will re-open on April the 12th to visitors between 9am-4pm Monday – Friday. Pease ring ahead as Charlie welcomes the opportunity to show customers and clients around and explain the story behind the pieces.

Charlie’s has two favourite pieces in the room, The Duke of Windsor’s racing flag from Royal Yacht Britannia and the Half Hulled Mirror back models which can be viewed here.
