Merry Christmas – December 2015

20th December 2015

Having just returned from a successful show in New York where we sold, amongst other things, our magnificent (and massive) Golden Eagle and the fire irons featured in the last newsletter, we find Christmas is almost upon us. Help!

That is just what we intend to do – help you with those ‘impossible’ presents for people who have everything, with prices from £120 to £28,000. For the man who has all the latest electrical gadgets, but still has room on his desk for a personal statement item you could buy this fabulous gilt and bronze Meiji period pheasant, a pair of table globes or a very smart ship’s wheel clock.

For the festive table these ice-pails would add some cut-glass decoration to catch the candle light.

For the elegant lady in your life there is always this beautiful Betjemann satinwood dressing table, but if that is too big to wrap, you could always settle for the manicure set. If she is an opera or ballet buff there are mother-of-pearl opera glasses in fully functioning order.

In January we will be preparing for our next overseas show in Palm Beach with a buying trip in Miami added in. The container will be leaving early in the New Year.

Until then all of us at Wick Antiques send you our very warmest wishes for the festive season and the start of 2016. Charlie, Rusty and family
