How the MELTING POT is Killing the Antiques Silver Trade? – David Harper

9th July 2025

This is an historic silver tea service in its original mahogany box with the most fascinating story behind it. A maritime connection to Isambard Kingdom Brunel and the British Industrial Revolution. Bought (saved by) Charlie Wallrock in auction. Charlie will never melt this tea service down, but if he hadnt bought it, then likely this museum quality service would have ended up in the melting pot. Because of the value of silver, we are losing historic pieces like this by the hundreds every week.
