December Newsletter 2019 – Review

31st December 2019

This is the time of year when estate agents fill pages of advertisements with their successful sales.  So, I thought we would do the same at the end of this rather tricky financial year.  Like many other retailer sectors antiques dealers no longer have a High Street presence. Antiques Fairs; Masterpiece, LAPADA and New York, are vital for selling and networking. One of the many advantages of these fairs is their extensive and international client base.  We sold the sword above, to the USA, a painting to Australia and some wine coolers to Europe. On the other hand, we also gained some new British contacts including a private buyer who bought the Victory ‘knee’ and a Yacht Club which bought the ‘Gold’ Cup.
