Happy New Year! – January 2016

8th January 2016

We have started 2016 with a cold snap and everyone is wrapped up warmly, rather like the elegant allegorical figure of ‘Winter’ on this striking burr walnut cabinet attributed to Lamb of Manchester. The pair of Borzois are also well equipped for the cold with their thick curly coats – as of course is the ivory Meiji period bear.

Meanwhile our new stock has been photographed and includes a small library bookcase with a writing slope top, a pair of marble-topped oval side tables by Charles Bernel of Paris and a very comfortable suite of leather furniture, comprising two chairs and a two-seater sofa. The sofa can be purchased separately.

We, however, are escaping to the warmth of Florida and hopefully the next newsletter will be full of the wonderful purchases we have found in Miami and sales we have made in Palm Beach.
