Masterpiece 2019 has been a success – June 2019

23rd June 2019

Despite the central weekend of Masterpiece reaching soaring temperatures our huge tent was kept wonderfully air conditioned.  That, plus the extraordinary array of works of art and jewellery on offer, prompted a steady flow of buyers and visitors.  From the start our curated collection of works of art and artefacts on a single naval theme caught the imagination.  Numerous visitors congratulated us on the scope and interest of our stock.  Amongst a sea of modern paintings and minimalist ‘installations’ we certainly stood out.  Sir Winston Churchill’s mask sold instantly – as did one of the mirrors, an intaglio seal, a navigational instrument and the iconic beam end chock from HMS Victory.
