A burr Elm and gilt-metal low table of regency/empire style, with lion mask monopodia supports.

There has been a great resurgence in vintage furniture and this particular table shows how the earlier styles have been copied and updated through the ages. The use of quality amboyna with gilded metal ware was used a great deal during the empire period in the Early part of the 19th century, here we see its use agin in the late 20th century.
