A desk set made of timber from HMS Collingwood, in the form of two capstans fitted with ceramic inkwells on a rectangular plinth base with pen well and brass plaque stating ‘Made of Teakwood taken from HMS Collingwood’. English, circa 1890.

Footnote: There were three ships and one training establishment named HMS Collingwood. However, the use of ceramic ink wells make it probable that this was from the second ship, in service from 1882 to 1909.
