A George III free-standing mahogany architect’s desk, the rectangular top above one long drawer fitted with an adjustable leathered reading slide with compartments underneath, and two small drawers in the spandrels, raised upon square tapering legs which are unusually canted outwards, with boxed castors, the back and sides panelled, with clover leaf carrying and drawer handles. English, circa 1810.
