A painted Papier-mâché snuff box inscribed with provenance to a gunner on Victory at Trafalgar,English, circa 1805. Diameter: 2¾in (7cm.)

This box is a relic of the late Admiral Nelson and was kept by Donald McLachlin gunner board the ship in which he fell.

Presented to Stuart of Greenock 1879 and to Rear Admiral A.C. Clever on 1917.
