A pair of Damascus 18th century polychrome tiles bearing the shahadah, with white calligraphy with black outlines on a royal blue ground scattered with turquoise flowers and leaves, the inscriptions reading ‘There is no god but God’ and ‘Muhammad is the Messenger of God’.
Each approx. 8 ½ in square.
