Description

This striking trophy in the form of a porcelain and ormolu oil lamp base is richly decoratedwith applied swags and eagle handles. It is incised on the stepped base RNYC Opening Cruise 1890 Presented by R.K. Holms-Kerr Esq. Vice Commodore. Converted to electricity.

The Royal Northern Yacht Club later merged with the Clyde Yacht Club to
form the present Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club.
