A small early Victorian walnut and tulipwood crossbanded pedestal desk the rectangular top inset with a gilt-tooled leather writing surface and with an ovolo moulded edge, above one long and two short frieze drawers, over six graduated drawers flanking the kneehole, on plinth bases.
Provenance: FOOTNOTE The distinctive turned and knopped handles of the present lot appear similar to that recognisable element of pieces produced by the renowned cabinet making firm, Holland and Sons.
