Description
A small Meiji period cloisonné box and cover with a floral roundel by Tabako, worked in silver wire and coloured (musen) wireless enamels with a central white flowerhead medallion, within bands of stylised flower motifs and scrolling tendrils, reserved against a rich jade-green ground, silver rims and interior and in the original wooden tomobako, Tabako-ire. Japanese, Meiji period (1868-1912).
