An Art Deco silver mounted tortoiseshell necessaire de toilette, of oval form, the top made from a single sheet of tortoiseshell inlaid in the centre with entwined silver initials, the body with two spring loaded quadrants which open to reveal an interior fitted with manicure implements including two pairs of scissors (replaced), a file, a nail buffer and two patch pots. Assay marks for J & R F Ltd, Sheffield, 1919.
