An unusual Victorian double steering-wheel desk clock and barometer, comprising two silver-plated and gilt steering wheels, one enclosing a clock and the other a barometer, set upon a capstan on a rotating cogged wheel flanked by two cannon balls, surmounted by a gimballed compass, all on a white onyx base, the clock face inscribed ‘Paris 1878, Exposition Internationale’ with English labels. Compass replaced. English, c 1878.
