Framed Rectangular Silk Salvatore Ferragamo Scarf, This rectangular silk scarf by Salvatore Ferragamo contains the popular Night & Day print. This particular scarf features 2 leopards, one at night and one during the day, at rest and alert respectively. The image also features an acacia tree and the Teneré Desert, this in-depth detail is typical and expected within Ferragamo scarves.
When originally draped around the neck this design allowed both leopards to be seen correct way up. By framing this scarf not only does it protect the highly fragile silk, it allows this piece of artwork to be seen in full without interruption.
A square version of this Night & Day motif was exhibited in the Silk Exhibition, 2021 at the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, Florence (https://museo.ferragamo.com/en).
This design has also been recreated in a recent collection of Ferragamo scarves showcasing its timelessness and desirability.
