Supermarine Air Yacht. Only one Air Yacht was built, and was a luxury flying boat built at Woolston, Southampton in 1929 for The Hon. Arthur Ernest Guinness for private pleasure cruises around the Mediterranean, replacing his Supermarine Solent.

The first flight was in 1930. She was then sold to Mrs J J James and given the name ‘Windward III’. She left Woolston for Egypt in 1932 but the plane crashed near Capri Italy in 1933. (no casualties).
