one with a lighter patination than the other, both with shakudo and gilt eyes, on a lacquer base, Japanese, circa 1932.
Signed on the small carp: 直翁 Chokuo with kao (monogramme)
Inscribed on the other carp: 壬申秋、金婚記念 ‘Mizunoe-saru aki, kinkon kinen’ [In the autumn of the year of Mizunoe-saru, for the 50th marriage anniversary year]

The mizunoe-saru year falls every 60-year; .. 1812, 1872, 1932, 1992.
