In our Wick Antiques showroom we have a veritable zoo. “Black Forest” wood carvings from the ateliers of Walter Linder, Arnold Ruef and FR Michel of Bonigen of birds of prey, mountain dogs, stags and friendly bears abound. The Japanese contingent, usually in bronze, including works by Genryusai Seiya, feature charming rabbits, cats and puppies on the one hand and massive snarling tigers, elephants and snapping crocodiles on the other. We also have whimsical monkeys dressed in 19th century attire and tables made from camels supporting trays on their humps.
